As mentioned in a recent notification letter and frequently asked questions (FAQs) document mailed to applicable providers from Magellan, we are moving to a paperless authorization system on May 30. At that time, authorization notices only will be available for convenient viewing in letter format via our secure website and no longer delivered through the U.S. Mail.
It is every network provider's responsibility to make sure that his or her practice information and current availability are fully up-to-date. When this information is accurate, we can facilitate more efficient and effective referrals and claims processing as well as help ensure the accuracy of information in our online provider directory used by members.
To give EAP providers an easier way to submit client encounter documentation (as required for payment), Magellan has launched a new online version of our Employee Assistance Service Information (EASI) Form. The information mirrors the hard copy form to which you are accustomed, but can be conveniently completed and submitted entirely online.

Raising Awareness of the Mental Health Effects of Bullying
In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month 2012, Magellan has launched its second annual Take Mental Health To Heart campaign, reminding people of the importance of good mental health as a key component of total wellness. This year's campaign focuses on mental health and bullying highlighting the mental health impact that bullying can have on its victims, witnesses and bullies themselves, and what parents should know about bullying and mental health.
